Building infrastructure for continuous behavioral healthcare

Current behavioral healthcare is episodic, but treatment happens between appointments, when no one is watching, and quietly treatment fails.

Our first product, Syntonia, extends psychiatric medication management into the weeks between appointments—automating check-ins, identifying treatment problems earlier and bringing actionable information back to the care team.

Healthcare systems and EHRs are built around encounters, while behavioral-health treatment unfolds between them.

Psychiatric medication management typically occurs every 4–8 weeks. For many patients, the gap between appointments is where treatment quietly falls apart — often before the care team knows.

This is the gap Syntonia Health is designed to address.

During the gap

  • Medication is not picked up

  • Side effects develop unnoticed

  • Patients quietly stop treatment

  • Symptoms worsen between visits

  • Appointments are missed

Treatment decision → implementation → patient behavior → response → emerging problem → intervention → outcome

Syntonia

Care that follows the patient home

Structured check-ins

Brief secure check in links at strategic periodic intervals — initiation/change in medication dose, early side effects, lack of symptom improvement and prior to next scheduled appointment

Smart escalation

Routine responses stay automated; only concerning responses are flagged for review for providers to address with existing workflow. Syntonia informs care, never replaces it.
